HOSPITALITY

Of Stone and Shade,
Ernakulam

Completed Project 2024

Tucked into a garden corner, this open-air pavilion is designed for outdoor dining and lounging. At its heart is a curved roof — light in form but anchored by four antique stone columns, repurposed from the client’s personal antique collection. The design emerged from his brief: to blend a sculptural roofline with the presence of these traditional elements.

Beside it, a parametric wall arcs along the edge of the space. Built with a steel frame, clad in ACP panels, and layered with pockets of green, the surface brings texture, shadow, and a sense of rhythm to the setting.

Together, the pavilion and wall create a space that feels both anchored and dynamic — a place to dine, connect, and take in the changing landscape around it.
