Set along the shore of Cherai Beach, this sunlounge deck unfolds as a natural extension of Chilliout Café’s spirit — earthy, relaxed, and open to the breeze.

The design carries forward the café’s familiar material palette — bamboo, timber, and thatch — in seamless continuity. At the beachfront, an irregular bamboo façade extends from the existing structure, reflecting the client’s love for irregular patterns and organic texture.

A small hexagonal building on-site is repurposed as an ice cream counter while a sweeping curvilinear shell shelters spaces for lounging and small gatherings. Beneath the deck, restrooms and changing areas are discreetly tucked away, keeping the upper level open and uninterrupted.

Built for leisure, the deck offers a simple setting to unwind, gather, and soak in the sun.
